ContactOpen Food Facts is a collaborative project with contributors from all around the world.
The project was started in 2012 by Stéphane Gigandet, creator of the food blogs portals Recettes de Cuisine (French) and various other collaborative and/or food-related projects, quickly joined by many others.

Stalni tim
In 2019, Stéphane and Pierre started working on Open Food Facts full time, as the challenges facing Open Food Facts grew exponentially that year, with for instance 1 million additional users added in just one night. Since then, the permanent team has grown to around 7 members, to support the community on topics like infrastructure, core software tasks, product management, fundraising, partnerships and community. The volunteers have created their own teams, on various topics ranging from taxonomies to prices.
